Charity I. White - Accepting New Patients

You don't have to be positive all the time. It's perfectly okay to feel sad, angry, annoyed, frustrated, scared and anxious. Having feelings doesn't make you a negative person. It makes you human.

Have you heard the saying, “when life gives you lemons, make lemonade”? Well what if you aren’t sure how to make lemonade or even if you will like it? Sometimes we wish to look at the positives of life and respond to things differently but you may not know how to or even why you respond to triggers the way you do.

Hi, my name is Charity White and I’m excited for the opportunity to hear your worldview. My ideal client is one who is seeking help. That means you. Everyone’s life experience is uniquely different and special. A client that feels they need assistance navigating their emotions, pain past or current experience, that is someone that I am thrilled to assist because they did the hardest part, seeking therapy. This is the first step in adding to their mental health tool box and developing healthy coping skills and understanding about themselves. I provide person-centered therapy because I feel that the client knows themselves more then anyone else, they just may need additional assistance improving their navigation of their emotions, coping strategies, and having a safe place where they can vent.

Change doesn’t happen overnight but a client’s willing to participate, listen, and be willing to share their story is the second step in the therapy process. It is my job to help you better understand how all the puzzle pieces fit together to make your own unique and informed story. If you aren’t sure what your goals are, I am able to provide feedback on what I am hearing you communicate. I look forward to hearing your story and learn how I can better assist you to meet your goals.
