Kate S. Bell-Accepting New Patients

If you’re reading this, congratulations! You have already faced one of the most difficult tasks of the healing process- reaching out for support. We often forget to thank ourselves for such a brave, vulnerable act! Perhaps you’ve combed through countless therapist bios, confused by the terminology and overwhelmed at the options and logistics. Perhaps you’re new to the world of therapy and are skeptical about someone being able to truly understand you. Perhaps you’re worried about being judged or you’ve had a negative experience with therapy in the past. The pressure grows because you want to find the right fit.

Kate has experienced these struggles in her own healing journey and understands the lengths people go through to get the help they need when they’re overwhelmed. She knows how it feels to have days ruined by constant rumination, important events sidelined by anxiety, and thoughts dictated by depression and hopelessness. She also knows that with the right support, healing is possible.

Kate recognizes that therapy is not a one size fits all experience, so she customizes her therapeutic approach to meet her client’s unique needs. She is prepared to use a wide variety of theoretical bases and intervention strategies from the healing modalities. She has personal experience working with Internal Family Systems, CBT skill building, breathwork/meditative practice including guided imagery, and spiritual work.

Kate is a first-year student and trainee at The University of Pennsylvania in their School and Mental Health Counseling Executive Program. She earned a degree in Philosophy from The George Washington University. Her non-therapeutic professional career has involved working with unique demographics such as professional athletes, Girl Scouts, world-renown doctors, and leaders in national security. She is compassionate, curious, and excited to work with you.
